Sunderland’s age friendly baseline position:Sunderland City Council and its partners have prepared a baseline position to establish current age friendly practice in the city. This is our first step in making Sunderland even more age friendly.

Older people’s involvement: Older people were consulted during the planning process

Details on older people’s involvement: Older People were invited to two age friendly events in the city. The purpose of these events was twofold: to let people know about our age friendly initiative and to hear their thoughts and views about the issues that older people in the city face on a day to day basis.
