Summary

As an age-friendly city with between 13 and 14 percent of the city’s population as older adults, Isfahan, has designed and held a series of educational and recreational workshops for older adult citizens under the title “Stay Well”. The workshops were in the five areas of physical health, mental health, social health, spiritual health, and optimizing leisure time. It has been held in more than 60 centers in different neighborhoods of the city and municipal cultural centers, where the necessary training is held in a professional and attractive manner with experienced teachers.

The purpose of implementing these training and classes is to enable older people to spend their old age with better quality and to enjoy good mental, social, spiritual, and physical health and experience successful aging. Successful aging means older adults have the ability to live independently and autonomously.

This project was initially held on a limited and experimental basis, and after observing the successful feedback of this project, it was then implemented in all cultural centers in Isfahan, and we are seeking to expand this project to the national level in Iran.
now, with appropriate information and advertising, more than 5,000 people participated in these classes.
