Summary

This program consists of guided tours to various emblematic spaces in the city and is intended for people aged 65 and over. The main objective of this project is to provide seniors quality free time, increasing access to immovable and moveable cultural and religious heritage means of cultural enrichment all the while promoting active citizenship and free time appreciation.
19 equipments from the city were considered for the project, grouped into 4 thematic routes:
– Churches with History and Stories
– Historical, Monumental, Heritage and Cultural Equipment
– New Important Equipment in the City
– Landscape and Environmental Equipment
The goal is to devote one day of the week (Wednesdays) to this activity, engaging about 50 seniors. In 2019 more than 2000 seniors have participated in this initiative and the resulting assessment showed that more than 90% of the participating seniors rated this initiative as excellent.
