Gothenburg recruits senior future developers

Summary

The City of Gothenburg has recruited 30 “Future developers”. There was a great interest in the assignment among the 170 applicants. The future developers will help the City of Gothenburg make Gothenburg more age-friendly; including evaluating locations, arranging activities and making customer trips to evaluate services.

What is a Future developer?

During the fall of 2019, Senior Gothenburg organized seven different information meetings about the assignment, the applicants had to answer questions and do a collaborative exercise. 30 people were selected. These people have varying skills and backgrounds.

The future developers are between 65 up to 90 years old. They will help the City to make the action plan, evaluate places and newly built homes, participate and contribute in research projects, test services, request lectures, cultural activities and arrange activities.

They contribute with their life and professional experiences, time and commitment.
