Awareness-Raising Work
Summary
Municipality of Cartago carries out Awareness-Raising Work on the abuse and mistreatment of older people. On June 15 of this year, the Municipality of Cartago, carried out virtual activities to raise awareness about the treatment of older people and specifically the abuse and mistreatment that this population often faces.
Within the framework of this celebration, a virtual talk was held: Let’s talk about an Inter-American Convention on the protection of human rights for older people. As part of this discussion, older people were asked to share their experiences through photographs and banners. The participation from both older adults and their families was significant.

Municipalidad de Cartago realiza trabajo de concientización sobre el abuso y maltrato a las personas mayores. El 15 de junio del presente año, la Municipalidad de Cartago, realizó actividades virtuales para sensibilizar en el buen trato a las personas mayores y en la sensibilización sobre el abuso y maltrato a esta población.
En el marco de esta celebración, se realizó la charla virtual: Hablemos sobre la convención Interamericana sobre la protección de los Derecho humanos de las personas mayores, además se les solicitó a las personas mayores que externaran por medio de fotografías y pancartas el respeto a sus derechos.
La participación de las personas mayores fue masiva y se logró la participación de sus familiares en esta actividad.
