Summary

In order to promote creating the Age-friendly City with private sectors, Akita City registers private companies and organizations as Age-friendly partners, which are encouraged to continue their efforts under the Akita Age-Friendly Partner Program.

 

Examples of the Partners’ Efforts

・Eliminating steps and installing handrails for buildings

・Installing benches available for public use

・Installing AED in the offices for employees and neighborhood residents

・Confirmation of the elderly’s safety and well-being by a delivery staff when delivering milk. Call a community support center if any abnormality is found.

・Holding seminars and health related classes for the elderly

・Promoting an employment of the elderly
