The Sharjah Municipalities & Agriculture Affairs Department has announced that the elderly in the city of Sharjah will have a home garden that allows them to feel calm and relax with their family under the initiative “home garden”. This initiative is launched by the municipality as part of an ongoing initiative to support the elderly as it supports Sharjah age-friendly program and its strategic plan.

The municipality provides this service to the elderly in the Emirate of Sharjah according to a set of requirements which are that the applicant must be a citizen of the emirate of the age 60 years or more.

The municipality has already started working on implementing the initiative since the beginning of this year, with a total of 37 home gardens.
