Summary
In the commune of Vicuña, as of 2016, the “Card for the Elderly” is implemented, which aims to improve the conditions of older people in access to services and consumer goods, with this it is intended to reduce economic spending and not affect the family budget, which is already scarce due to the low incomes received by the older people for their pensions or retirements.
The benefit consists of a partnership between the municipality and a local company through a collaboration agreement to make a discount on the value of products and / or services, for example bakeries, butchers, clothing stores, restaurants, public transport, among others.
All people over 60 years of age who live in the Vicuña commune can access these discounts by requesting their card at the Municipal Office for the Elderly.
