Summary
As a means to spread awarness and knowledge of Age-friendly Gothenburg’s dialogue process and base assessment a lecture series was held together with the university of Gothenburg during 2019.
It was also a way to collaborate with the research and help them to popularize their research and reach out to older persons. The lectures were held in different parts of the city to reach a wide audience.
Each topic was linked to a presentation by the City of Gothenburg and the results of the dialogue process that forms the basis for the different domains in the base assessment.
Subjects such as ageism in media, digital gaps amongst the elderly population, a senior perspective on the urban development, mobility and housing enviroments that are age-friendly are topics that have been lit.
The lecture series is conducted in collaboration between AgeCap – Center for Aging and Health at the University of Gothenburg and Senior Gothenburg, Gothenburg City Development Center during 2019-2020.
