Summary

Held on the 5th of December at the Sarsfield GAA Centre Thurles, the Tipperary Age Friendly Expo 2019 was a huge success. This event gave older people from all over Tipperary an opportunity to learn more about Tipperary Age Friendly and the formation of the Tipperary Older Peoples Council (OPC).

Over 50 exhibitors were in attendance to meet and provide information on services for older people in the county. Fiona Crotty of Tipperary County Council gave attendees a brief overview of Tipperary Age Friendly and membership of Tipperary Older Peoples Council. The OPC will ensure that older people in Tipperary participate in the decisions which affect their lives. This was followed by a social dancing event and a good time was had by all.
