Shorewood, WI is a Village of 13,000 people bordering the City of Milwaukee. Shorewood has been active in developing age-friendly practices since the inception of “Shorewood Connects” in 2009. In 2014, the Village was recognized by Generations United as one of four “Best Intergenerational Communities” in the US. Shorewood officially became a part of the AARP Age-Friendly Communities Network in 2017.
