Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Ruler’s Office, inaugurated on Wednesday morning at the Jawahir Center for Events and Conferences The slogan of the “Empowerment and active participation of the elderly”, organized by the Department of Social Services in Sharjah. The forum aims to exchanging experiences with international bodies in terms of empowerment initiatives and programs that achieve the active participation of the elderly. The Eighth Forum for the Elderly includes 4 sessions: The first session sheds light on the international experiences in upgrading the services of the elderly and bringing about empowerment and integration. The second session discusses the requirements of developing the social policies of the institutions concerned with the elderly. The fourth Session is about using technology and media to Support Cultural and Social Empowerment Opportunities.
