Activities of community social workers

Activities of community social workers

Summary

With the progress of our super-aged society and the change in household composition, seniors and their family members have diverse and complex concerns in their daily lives.
To deal with such concerns, our community social workers (SWs) are actively reaching out to seniors who are in need of care but do not know how to use the City’s services to provide them with expert advice. Community SWs also work with local community groups and tackle problems that some community group members face.
In cooperation with community case workers and staff of Community Comprehensive Support Centers and other organizations, community SWs are working to build a face-to-face consultation network in an effort to create a senior friendly community.
