UAE puts great effort in promoting the importance of the family solidarity and ensuring the elderly in the society. One of the efforts that Sharjah education council in Sharjah have achieved is launching the competition of AlEbin Albar (For honoring parents) for different schools in Sharjah in order to achieve the strategic objectives of Sharjah age friendly cities standards. The main purpose of the competition is encouraging youth to promote a positive behavior towards their parents and their elderly. The competition has several areas and standards. The winners in the competition receive motivational awards.
