Senior programs are currently provided mainly through the Cupertino Senior Center that is operated by the city. In 2016, an Age Friendly Cupertino Task Force that included a diverse group of older residents of the community was created to guide the process of making the city more age-friendly. We worked directly with city leadership and other stakeholders to identify strategies and initiatives to make the community more age-friendly, including reconstituting a city-wide Senior Commission. We conducted focus groups with residents and professionals in aging to develop a set of specific recommendations for action.
