September is the month of returning to classes according to the fixed schedule. In its offer, the Information and Education Center “Senior in Opole” has prepared a whole range of sports activities for seniors:

  • smovey – exercises with disks – 2 groups
  • zumba gold – 2 groups
  • zumba gold toning (with weights) – 2 groups
  • healthy spine – 2 groups,
  • Nordic walking section – open from Monday to Friday

Moreover, dance classes in the Latin rhythm are continued, i.e. solo bachata and solo salsa. Once a week, seniors can also participate in aqua aerobics classes at the swimming pool.

From October, also 2 groups of Tai Chi classes started.

All sports activities are very popular. Seniors willingly participate in them. Everybody can find something for oneself. Thanks to physical activity, seniors improve their condition, motor memory, coordination and sense of balance. By participating in classes with qualified instructors, seniors learn from the very beginning to perform single movements as well as all movement sequences in a correct and safe way. Thanks to this, they can later train independently at home, and in the case of dance classes, they can use the skills acquired during the classes in everyday life.
