On 07/07/2022. in the Nowa Wieś Królewska district, on the green area of the church square, an intergenerational Family Picnic was held, organized by the Nowa Wieś Królewska Senior Club and the Information and Education Center “Senior in Opole”. About 250 people took part in the event. During the picnic, the boulodrom was opened and a boule tournament was played. The Nowa Wieś Królewska Senior Club, financed by the City of Opole, decided to allocate funds for the year 2022 for the completion of the boulodrom – the construction and installation of an information board on the rules of playing boules, as well as the purchase of boules. Boulodrom is intended for the entire local community. It creates an opportunity for all residents to spend their free time together in an interesting and active way, thus enabling intergenerational integration. Boule game is becoming more and more popular and there are more and more people willing to learn and improve already acquired skills. During the games, teams can test their acquired skills and have fun in the spirit of competition. The musical setting was provided by the band “Opolanie”. The youngest participants of the picnic could count on fun on inflatables, madness with animators, cotton candy and bouquets of balloons. Older participants, thanks to the participation of representatives of the City Police Headquarters, could try their hand at the competition, which had to be performed in alcohol glasses. The whole event was accompanied with meals of a delicious sausage, bread with lard, as well as cakes baked by club members and hot, aromatic coffee. And all this was possible thanks to the great commitment and huge work of the Club members and our friends. We would also like to thank the Council of Seniors of the City of Opole for their support.
