The World Health Organization (WHO), together with the United Nation’s Children Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), held a three-day virtual meeting on 8‒10 March 2022 for manufacturers of medicines, vaccines, in vitro diagnostics (IVDs), reproductive health products and vector control products to discuss issues around the assessment, production and supply of quality products needed for vulnerable populations.
The theme of the Joint Meeting reflected the many changes driven by the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting provided manufacturers with information, opportunities for discussion, and insights to address long-term planning needs – discoveries, trends and developments to shape the global healthcare landscape – as well as technical updates and an opportunity to meet with UN agency hosts on specific topics.
