The Seventy-seventh session of the World Health Assembly kicks off with the 5th edition of Walk the Talk in Geneva, Switzerland and will continue from 27 May – 1 June 2024 under the banner of All for Health, Health for All. Please see additional details in the press release. With the participation of ministers of health and other high-level country and civil society representatives, the WHA provides a crucial platform to call for coordinated action on a primary health care approach to universal health coverage. Several events will be held throughout the week to underscore this call, including:

Walk the Talk

Sunday, 26 May, 9:00-11:00 CEST

On 26 May, the 5th edition of the annual 'Walk the Talk' event will take place at Place des Nations from 9:00 CEST. The UHC Partnership has been a major co-sponsor of WTT since its inception and will be hosting a booth at the event. Established in 2011, the UHC Partnership is WHO’s largest initiatives on international cooperation for Health for All. With financial contributions from the European Union, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Irish Aid, the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Government of Japan, the United Kingdom - Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, Belgium, Canada and Germany, the UHC Partnership brings WHO’s technical expertise in universal health coverage to over 125 countries, representing a population of over 3 billion people.

Accelerating primary health care transformation with evidence: Cross-country learning, knowledge management, and partnerships

Moving from principles to action on social participation for UHC, health, and well being
