During the Tenth session of the Conference of the Parties (COP10) to the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC), last February, there was a call for greater cooperation between the FCTC and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP).

In alignment with this call, the webinar Increasing Cooperation Between the WHO FCTC and the Treaty to End Plastic Pollution will showcase how the WHO FCTC and the negotiations of the Treaty to End Plastic Pollution can be an example of international cooperation.

The event will take place on April 16 at 9am (ET). It is hosted by Action on Smoking and Health (ASH), the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL), the WHO FCTC Knowledge Hub for Articles 17 and 18, Génération Sans Tabac, the Global Center for Good Governance in Tobacco Control (GGTC), and the Stop Tobacco Pollution Alliance (STPA).

Speakers will address the aims of the UN Summit of the Future to create the conditions in which implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development can more readily be achieved through increased cooperation.

French and Spanish Translation will be provided.
