COP10 side event: Dialogues to advance in the implementation of Articles 17 and 18 of the WHO FCTC - 7 February 2024

Parties will share their experiences in supporting tobacco farmers and facilitating their transition to sustainable alternative livelihoods, and will discuss the environmental impacts of the tobacco supply chain during the side event “Dialogues to advance in the implementation of Articles 17 and 18 of the WHO FCTC,” this Wednesday at COP10 in Panama City.

The side event is promoted by the WHO FCTC Knowledge Hub for Articles 17 and 18 – housed at the Center for Studies on Tobacco or Health of the Sérgio Arouca National School of Public Health (CETAB/Fiocruz) –, together with the Secretariat of the WHO FCTC, the World Health Organization (WHO), the WHO FCTC Knowledge Hub for Article 5.3, Action on Smoking and Health (ASH), and governments from Brazil and Thailand.
