CETAB is housed and funded by FIOCRUZ, which assists it to perform its knowledge hub functions. Among Fiocruz units that support CETAB are Coordination of Educational Development and Distance Learning (CDEAD/ENSP), ENSP-School of Government, ENSP-Department of Epidemiology and Quantitative Methods, Coordination of Health Surveillance and Reference Laboratories, and other technical and scientific units of Fiocruz in Brazil.

CETAB has also received funding and support over the years for selected projects from a number of institutions from Brazil such as the Brazilian National Cancer Institute (INCA/OPAS), Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA), the government of Sao Paulo’s state (Brazil), and from abroad such as the Convention Secretariat, International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease – The Union, and American Cancer Society among others.

CETAB cooperates additionally with a wide range of partners, including governments, states, municipalities, as well as with civil society. Examples include the Brazilian Tobacco Control Alliance (ACT+), US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the University of Bath, McGill University, Georgetown University, and the International Development Research Centre – IDRC.

The Knowledge Hub for Articles 17 and 18 is one of eight WHO FCTC Knowledge Hubs around the world established by the Convention Secretariat to support Parties in their implementation efforts.
