Health Legislation

The law provides the budget of the state for the year 2023.

The law modifies the law No. 84-10 relative à l’état civil and regulates all the aspects regarding civil status matters.

This Law amends Articles 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 31, 33, 36, 37, 38, 42, 45, 47, 51, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 65, 66, 80 and 86 of the Law No 2020-37 protecting the health of people in the Republic of Benin.

The purpose of this law is to organize the protection of the health of the population, and to define the obligations imposed on citizens in the event of communicable, non-communicable, contagious diseases or epidemics. It applies to any person living in the Republic of Benin or entering Benin territory.

The purpose of this law is to organize activities related to medicines and other health products in the Republic of Benin.

This Law provides amendments to the provisions of Articles 17, 17-1, 17-2, 17-3, 17-4, 17-5, 17-6, 17-7, 19-1 of the Law No 2003-04 of 03 March 2003 relating to sexual health and reproduction.

This Law establishes the Universal Health Insurance Scheme Universal (RAMU) in the Republic of Benin.

The law creates the "Caisse Nationale de Solidarité et de Prévoyance Sociale" (The National Solidarity and Social Welfare Fund).

This Law provides provisions on the definition, principles and rights in reproductive health, defines reproductive health service entities and workforce, and regulates contraception, voluntary termination of pregnancy, rights of people suffering from STDs/AIDS and penal provisions.

This law institutes a national card certifying the holder's identity.

The law regulates all the aspects regarding civil status matters.
