12. Systems for improving quality of care

KEY QUESTIONS TO SUPPORT PHC-ORIENTED APPROACH TO ADAPTING NATIONAL HEALTH PLAN:
• Has a national quality policy or strategy been developed and resourced to facilitate PHC orientation of health systems?
• Have systems been established to report on the quality of services and to monitor  safety and standards of care?
• Have adequate resources been allocated for operational plans for quality improvement including infrastructure for sharing of information and learning on quality health services?
• Have systems been established for formal community engagement and feedback on clinical improvement and clinical improvement planning, especially for vulnerable populations?
