The PHC-GHI Toolbox is an integrated set of resources, derived from the Global PHC Operational Framework and the Declaration of Astana, that facilitates access to Primary Health Care (PHC) guidance and expertise to promote a shared understanding amongst WHO staff, at all 3 levels, as well as Ministry of Health Personnel and Global Health Initiatives (GHI) grant focal points, of how to optimize GHI funding and outcomes, based on a PHC approach. It provides practical information on PHC that can be used when assisting Member States to access and optimally use GHI and other donor funding and support. It supports the application of PHC principles to the design, implementation and monitoring of such investments.
