WHO, the Health System Governance Collaborative, UHC2030, and the UHC Partnership are co-hosting a conference copy launch of the WHO guidance document, the “Handbook on Social Participation for Universal Health Coverage.” The handbook provides best practice guidance to policymakers on how to effectively and meaningfully engage with populations, communities and civil society in national health policy processes. The conference copy launch will bring together government stakeholders, academia, and civil society actors to ruminate on how to ‘do’ social participation in practice, given its inherent complexities yet huge relevance in times of COVID-19 and beyond.
