The Joint Working Team for primary health care and universal health coverage (JWT for PHC & UHC) connects three levels of WHO—from country, regional and global offices across different technical areas—as well as donors and observers in supporting the achievement of country priorities in the journey towards health for all. It serves as the implementation support mechanism of the UHC Partnership.
Composition of the UHC Joint Working Team
The UHC JWT is a light network for increased PHC and UHC impact in countries. It is composed of WHO focal points from the three levels of the Organization and the various concerned clusters, departments, programmes. The focal points have been nominated by Regional Directors and Assistant Directors General of concerned Clusters in Headquarters.
About the retreat
This annual retreat will be held virtually on 27, 28 & 30 September 2021. It will be attended by focal points from WHO Headquarters and the six regional offices. The event will be a venue to review current processes, progress, lessons learned, and agree on a way forward.
