New WHO Authorised Ports List 3 May 2017

Dear Colleagues,

The latest authorised ports list was published on 3 May 2017 and can be found at http://www.who.int/ihr/ports_airports/portslanding/en/ 

One addition is the 2 ports of Takoradi and Tema, Ghana. There may be others that I haven't spotted yet!

International Ballast Water Management Certificate

Hello Everyone,

I have a request to see if anyone has actually come across an International Ballast Water Management Certificate during your inspections. If you have or indeed do see one, would you be bale to send me a copy at martin.walker@scpha.gov.uk ? I am looking for examples to add for the Virtual Ship Training that we run in the UK.

Equally, if you have seen examples of approved Ballast Water Treatment systems in place on board vessels, I would be interested to about these and to see any photos.
