Evidence: Revenues Increase with Increases in Cigarette Taxes - 16 June 2017

The tobacco industry frequently claims that an increase in tobacco taxes will lead to a fall in consumption of tobacco products (or at least a fall in consumption of legal tobacco products) and therefore to a fall in tobacco tax revenue. We have compiled a PowerPoint presentation of evidence from a host of FCTC Parties, which explicitly show that tax revenues have increased in parallel with increases in tobacco taxes.
