Constitution (including the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution Act 2022)
The Constitution was promulgated in 1993 and modified by the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution Act in 2022. It includes 166 articles addressing a large number of issues as the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms, the fundamental principles of the state and institutional arrangements. The document includes the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution Act 2022.

Lei No 5/93 Estabelece o regime juridico do cidadão estrangeiro fixando as respectivas normas de entrada , permanência e saída do país os direitos , deveres e garantias
This law establishes the legal regime for foreign nationals, setting out, in particular, the rules governing their entry, stay and exit from the country, their rights, duties and guarantees. With the exception of visa requirements, this law does not apply to permanent diplomatic and consular agents and their families or to special missions.
Decreto No 9/92 Regulamento de Prestação de Cuidados de Saúde por entidades privadas
The Decree regulates the health care delivery by private entities.
Lei No 21/91 estatuo de refugiado
The law regulates the refugee status. Its definition, the impediment and loss of refugee status, the authorization requirements among others issues.
Lei No 25/91 (Criação do Serviço Nacional de Saúde)
The law creates the National Health Service of Mozambique. It also provides information on the organization of levels of care in the country: primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary.
Lei No 2/77 Determina que todas as acções sanitarias de carácter profilático sejam gratuitas
The law states that all health measures of a prophylactic nature are free of charge. Every citizen has the right to free medical care when they are hospitalized. All complementary diagnostic tests are free of charge both in inpatient and outpatient settings.
The Registration of Births and deaths Act 1973
The Act consolidates the laws relating to the registration of births and deaths in Lesotho. It makes compulsory the registration of the birth of a child, whether born alive or still-born, and of the death of any person dying after the commencement of the Act (section 3). The office of the Registrar General is the general register office for keeping the register of all births and deaths occurring in Lesotho (section 4).
Public Health Regulations (No. 25 of 1973)
These regulations have been adopted pursuant to two sections of the Public Health Order of 1970: article 16j referring to the enactment of regulations for the prevention of the spread of any communicable disease by persons who are "carriers" of the disease (...) and article 71m referring to regulations for requiring the medical examination of any person in any premises in which any milk or dairy produce or other article of food intended for sale is collected, kept sold (...).
Lesotho Citizenship Order 1971
The Order makes provision for citizenship of Lesotho, for the acquisition, deprivation and renunciation of citizenship, and for related and connected matters.
Public Health Order 1970
The Order provides rules regarding diseases subject to the international Health Regulation, the prevention and control of communicable diseases; sanitation and housing; and food and water protection among other aspects.
The Medical , Dental and Pharmacy Order 1970
The order mandates the creation of a medical, Dental and Pharmacy Council; and regulates the keeping and sale of poisons and other related matters.
