This Law establishes modalities for controlling tobacco consumption and tobacco products that are manufactured in Rwanda as well as those imported so as to protect the Rwandan population’s life.

This Law determines the organization, functioning and competence of the Council of Pharmacists. The Council shall be responsible for ensuring that the rules, honour and dignity of the pharmacy profession are complied with and ensure the protection of public health. 

This Law determines the organisation, functioning and competence of the Medical and Dental Council. The Council is responsible for compliance with the rules, honour and dignity of the medical profession. 

The Order establishes the professional Code of conduct for nurses and midwives in Rwanda. This Order concerns nurses and midwives registered with the National Council of Nurses and Midwives.

The Diploma approves the Medicines Registration Manual. The purpose of the Manual is to (a) Standardize the procedures and activities relating to the registration of medicines; (b) Clarify the doubts that professionals have encountered when interpreting the Registration Regulations; (c) Support professionals in the field in carrying out their daily activities in a standardized way; (d) Support applicants in complying with registration and post-registration procedures; (e) to make the registration process an optimized and increasingly swift process. 

The law regulates the legal framework for the exercise of private medicine.   

The present Statute applies to the Hospitals of the National Health Service and aims to establish general rules on their organization and operation.

The Decree introduces an Identity Card for national citizens based on biometric elements. 

This Law establishes the National Council of Nurses and Midwives and determines its organisation, functioning and competence.

Constituição

The Constitution was promulgated in 2004 and modified in 2018. It includes 306 articles (17 titles) addressing a large number of issues as the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms, the fundamental principles of the state and institutional arrangements.

The Diploma approves the general regulation of hospitals in Mozambique. The regulation applies to all hospitals in the National Health Service and to those that are managed by the private non-profit sector.

The Resolution approves the Traditional medicine policy and implementation strategy.

The resolution approves the strategy for preventing and combating drugs.
