This Law establishes the fundamental principles, rights, and responsibilities for the country's healthcare system, and provides for the overall organization of health care in the country. This Decree-Law approves the Statute of Medical Careers in Sao Tome and Principe.

The Nursing Council Act 2003

This Act repeals and replaces the Nursing Council Act of 1992 to make further and better provisions for the establishment, composition and functioning of a Nursing Council, to establish a disciplinary Tribunal and to better regulate and control the nursing and midwifery professions.
