The Constitution of the Central African Republic was adopted in 2016 and promulgated by Decree No 160218. The Constitution consists of 158 Articles that are grouped into 16 titles covering areas such as social foundations and principles, separation of powers within the state, key organs of the state, etc.

The Constitution of Zambia was adopted in 1991 and was amended in 2016 by Act No 2 titled "An Act to Amend the Constitution of Zambia". This Act provides for a uniform law for the registration of all births and deaths in Zambia, without distinction of origin or descent; and provides for matters incidental thereto.

This Act makes further and better provision for the registration, enrolment, control and training of nurses and midwives; provides for purposes relating to the practice of nursing and midwifery; establishes the General Nursing Council of Zambia; and provides for matters incidental to or connected with the foregoing.
