The Constitution of the Central African Republic was adopted in 2016 and promulgated by Decree No 160218. This Act provides for a uniform law for the registration of all births and deaths in Zambia, without distinction of origin or descent; and provides for matters incidental thereto.

This Act makes further and better provision for the registration, enrolment, control and training of nurses and midwives; provides for purposes relating to the practice of nursing and midwifery; establishes the General Nursing Council of Zambia; and provides for matters incidental to or connected with the foregoing.
