The Decree establishes the rules for implementing Law 34/2014, of December 31, on the Right to Information. It is applicable to the bodies and institutions of the State, direct and indirect administration, representation abroad, local authorities and also to private entities which, under the Law or by contract, carry out activities of public interest or which, in their activity, benefit from public resources from any source and have in their possession information of public interest.

The National Health Insurance Fund Act

This Act establishes the National Health Insurance Fund and provides for contributions to and payment of health care benefits to certain Government employees and provides for related matters.

The Diploma approves the Medicines Registration Manual. The purpose of the Manual is to (a) Standardize the procedures and activities relating to the registration of medicines; (b) Clarify the doubts that professionals have encountered when interpreting the Registration Regulations; (c) Support professionals in the field in carrying out their daily activities in a standardized way; (d) Support applicants in complying with registration and post-registration procedures; (e) to make the registration process an optimized and increasingly swift process. 

The Nursing and Midwifery Act

This Act makes provisions for the protection, promotion and preservation of public health, safety and welfare through regulation and control of nursing and midwifery education and practice.

The Persons with Disabilities Act

The Act makes provisions for health care, social support, accessibility, rehabilitation and vocational training, communication, employment or work protection and promotion of basic rights for persons with disabilities and provides for related matters.

The law regulates the legal framework for the exercise of private medicine.   

The present Statute applies to the Hospitals of the National Health Service and aims to establish general rules on their organization and operation.

The Public Health Act

This Act provides for the promotion, preservation and maintenance of public health with a view to ensuring the provisions of comprehensive, functional and sustainable public health services to the general public; and provides for other related measures.

The Decree introduces an Identity Card for national citizens based on biometric elements. 

The HIV and AIDS (Prevention and Control) Act

This Act provides for prevention, treatment, care, support, and control of HIV and AIDS, for promotion of public health in relation to HIV and AIDS; provides for appropriate treatment, care and support using available resources to people living with or at risk of HIV and AIDS and provides for related matters.

The Mental Health Act

The Act provides for the care, protection and management of persons with mental disorders and provides for their voluntary or involuntary admission in mental health care facility and other related matters.

The resolution approves the Charter of Patients' Rights and Duties.

The Environmental Health Practitioners (Registration) Act

This Act provides for the establishment of the Council to regulate the conduct of and the registration of Environmental Health Practitioners and provides for related matters.

The Optometry Act

The Act provides for the establishment of the Council to regulate the conduct of Optometrists and Ophthalmic Opticians, the registration of Optometrists and Ophthalmic Opticians and provides for related matters.

The Law establishes the Order of Doctors of Mozambique and provides the Statute of the Order as an integral part of the law.

This Regulation establishes the legal framework applicable to the contracting of public works, and the supply of goods and services to the State, including consultancy and concessions.

Lei No 12/2004 Aprova o Código do Registo Civil

The law approves the Civil Registration Code.

Constituição

The Constitution was promulgated in 2004 and modified in 2018. It includes 306 articles (17 titles) addressing a large number of issues as the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms, the fundamental principles of the state and institutional arrangements.

The Diploma approves the general regulation of hospitals in Mozambique. The regulation applies to all hospitals in the National Health Service and to those that are managed by the private non-profit sector.

The Resolution approves the Traditional medicine policy and implementation strategy.
