The law regulates the management and control of HIV/AIDS in the Republic of Guinea.

HIV/AIDS decentralization guidelines

These Guidelines outline a framework for transferring HIV/AIDS service delivery responsibilities from central to local levels, promoting community involvement and improving access to care.

The purpose of this Act is to determine the fundamental principles relating to the protection of the rights of people living with HIV/AIDS and of persons affected.

This decree, taken in application of the provisions of Articles 28 et seq. of Ordinance No. 0022/PR/2007, 6 et seq. of Ordinance No. 0023/PR/2007 and 3 et seq. of Law No. 11/82 of 24 January 1983, establishes the statutes of the National Health Insurance and Social Guarantee Fund, abbreviated to CNAMGS, hereinafter referred to as "the Fund".

The HIV and AIDS (Prevention and Control) Act

This Act provides for prevention, treatment, care, support, and control of HIV and AIDS, for promotion of public health in relation to HIV and AIDS; provides for appropriate treatment, care and support using available resources to people living with or at risk of HIV and AIDS and provides for related matters.

The law makes rules on HIV/AIDS Prevention, Treatment and Control.

This Executive Decree No 06-370 of 26 Ramadhan 1427 governs the creation, organization and operation of the national fund for the collection of social security contributions. It was published in the Official Journal on 28 October 2006 (pages 9-14).

HIV and AIDS Prevention and Control Act

This Act provides measures for the prevention, management and control of HIV and AIDS, provides for the protection and promotion of public health and the appropriate treatment, counselling, support and care of persons infected or at risk of HIV and AIDS infection, and connected purposes.

The purpose of this law is to combat the spread of the disease caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) leading to the reduction and loss of the body's immune defenses, resulting in Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS); to protect people living with HIV/AIDS against all forms of discrimination or stigmatization; and to reaffirm their fundamental rights and freedoms in accordance with international human rights instruments.

This Decree establishes the rules for the organization and functioning of the National Health Insurance Fund of Mauritania.

The purpose of this Law is to create a legal framework that allows for the implementation of the actions and mechanisms necessary for the education, prevention, treatment, epidemiological surveillance, research, care and monitoring of sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS, as well as to guarantee respect, protection and defence of human rights, and to eliminate the stigmatization and discrimination of people infected with HIV/AIDS. The Decree sets out the statutes of the social public establishment called the “Caisse nationale de sécurité sociale” (National Social Security Fund).

The law creates a social public establishment called the “Caisse nationale de sécurité sociale” (National Social Security Fund). The purpose of the Caisse Nationale de Sécurité Sociale is to manage the various branches of social security set up for workers, such as family benefits; prevention and compensation for occupational accidents and diseases; and old-age, invalidity and survivors' pensions. It is also responsible for managing the health and social action fund. It may also be entrusted with the management of other social security branches.

This Decree approves the Strategic Framework Plan and the Emergency Plan for the Fight against AIDS in Equatorial Guinea. This document is published as a part of a compilation of laws and decrees and this Decree is located on page 81 of the file.

This Ministerial Diploma approves the norms of the organization of the National Health Service for the care and treatment of people living with HIV/AIDS and the Guiding Principles for the treatment of patients with HIV/AIDS Infection and the respective Technical Guides.
