This law, published in the Official Journal on 25 Mai 2023, modifies articles 1,17,27,51 and 79 of the law n°37-2014 establishing the universal health insurance scheme.

The Social Health Insurance Act

This Act establishes the framework for the management of social health insurance; provides for the establishment of the Social Health Authority; gives effect to Article 43(1)(a) of the Constitution; and for connected purposes.

Universal Health Insurance Act

This Act sets conditions to facilitate access to health services for citizens through health insurance, establishes a health insurance system for all, sets conditions for expanding the scope of various health services; and sets other related conditions.

This Proclamation provides the legal framework for the Community Based Health Insurance System.

The purpose of this Law is to establish mechanisms for the protection and promotion of health, the prevention and control of diseases, as well as threats and risks to public health.

This Law amends the Law 03/2015 of 02/03/2015 governing the Organisation of Community-Based Health Insurance Scheme. Please refer to page 171 of the file to see the text of the Law.

The law creates a compulsory health insurance scheme known as the "Régime d'Assurance Maladie Universelle" (Universal Health Insurance Scheme) designed to cover the health care costs attached to sickness and maternity for insured persons and their dependent family members.

This Law amends the Law 03/2015 of 02/03/2015 governing the Organisation of Community-Based Health Insurance Scheme.

This law, taken in application of the provisions of article 47 of the Constitution, establishes the modalities of medical care for the mentally ill and protection of their rights in the Gabonese Republic.

Mental Health Act, 2012 Act 846

The Mental Health Act of 2012 provides for mental health care and for related matters. Among other things, it establishes a Mental Health Authority (sections 1 to 23), enshrines a set of rights for persons with mental disorder (sections 54 to 63), and establishes a mental health fund (sections 80 to 87).

The law institutes the Compulsory Health Insurance scheme in Mali. Its purpose is to cover the health care costs inherent in sickness and maternity for insured persons and their dependent family members. The law defines the beneficiaries, the guaranteed benefits, the conditions of coverage, affiliation and registration, and financial organization, among other aspects.

The Mental Health Act

The Act provides for the care, protection and management of persons with mental disorders and provides for their voluntary or involuntary admission in mental health care facility and other related matters.

This Law establishes the Health Insurance Scheme for Government Employees in Rwanda. It also determines its functioning and beneficiaries.

Mental Health Care Act

This Act provides a legal framework for the care, treatment, and protection of individuals with mental health disorders, establishes guidelines for the admission, detention, and rights of patients in mental health facilities, etc.

Medical Schemes Act No 131 of 1998

The Act consolidates the laws relating to registered medical schemes; provides for the establishment of the Council for Medical Schemes as a juridical entity; provides for the appointment of the Registrar of Medical Schemes; makes provision for the registration and control of certain activities of medical schemes; protects the interests of members of medical schemes; provides for measures for the co-ordination of medical schemes; and provides for incidental matters.
