The document sets up standards to provide guidance to teaching institutions for health professional education and affiliated teaching hospitals and/or second-level teaching hospitals. The health teaching institution must meet the requirements set out in the Standards to obtain accreditation certification and deliver high-quality health professional training.

The document is a check-list that serves as a “road map” for executives for an assessment of health professional colleges and schools in Rwanda.

This decree modifies decree N°2012-488 providing for the powers, organisation and operation of management committees for public schools.

Curriculum for Diploma in Pharmacy

The Curriculum for the Diploma in Pharmacy are the guidelines for the training and qualification in pharmacy.

This order provides for the organization, attributions and functioning of the National Program for School and University Health.

The Chemist Professionals Act

This Act establishes the Chemist Professionals' Council and provides for the powers, functions, management and regulation of the chemist, chemical laboratory technologist and the assistant chemical laboratory technologist, and provides for related matters.

This decree creates a National Training School for State-certified Nurses and Midwives in Anaesthesia - Resuscitation called ENAFISAR. This decree defines the organization and functions of the School, the administrative bodies and commissions, the training requirements, etc.

Medical and Dental Act

This Act provides for the establishment and constitution of a professional Council for the medical and dental professions; determines the powers, duties and functions of such Council; regulates the registration of medical practitioners and of dentists, and of persons practising certain professions allied to the medical profession or to the dental profession; specifies the education, training and qualifications of persons practising such professions; prohibits the practising of any such profession without being registered; and provides for matters incidental thereto.

The Environmental Management Act

This Act provides for a legal and institutional framework for sustainable management of the environment; outlines principles for management, impact and risk assessments, prevention and control of pollution, waste management, environmental quality standards, public participation, compliance and enforcement; provides for implementation of international instruments on environment; provides for implementation of the National Environment Policy; repeals the National Environment Management Act, 1983; provides for the National Environment Management Council and the National Environmental Trust Fund.

This law sets the rules governing the organization of the Order of medical and health professions covering nurses, midwives and health technicians.

This Ordinance establishes national orders of doctors, pharmacists, dental surgeons and midwives, that are compulsorily grouping all practitioners authorized to practice their profession.

This Ordinance modifies Article 98 of the Ordinance No. 73-38 of April 21, 1973 establishing and organizing the national orders of doctors, pharmacists, dental surgeons and midwives
