Health Legislation

This Act establishes a unified health system, coordinates the inter-relationship between the national government and county government health systems, provides for regulation of health care service and health care service providers, health products and health technologies and for connected purposes.

The decree sets out the organization and operating procedures for hospital pharmacies.

This document describes each level of the public health system in Rwanda in terms of the types of services offered, the description and qualifications of staff that provide the services and the equipment required to carry out the services. The health service packages support the clinical and managerial standards by which the healthcare facilities operate. The ultimate goal of this document is to provide guidance in the organization of public health service facilities to improve the quality of health care and services provided to the population of Rwanda.

The law creates a public administrative establishment, called the "Agence Nationale de Sécurité Sanitaire", under the supervision of the Ministry of Health. The mission of the Agence is to implement the strategic orientations of the Ministry of Health in the field of health safety.

This pocket book consists of guidelines on the classification of illness severity, criteria for admission, and inpatient management of the major causes of childhood mortality such as pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria, severe malnutrition, meningitis, HIV and neonatal conditions. The guidelines target the management of the seriously ill newborn or child in the first 24 - 48 hours of arrival at the hospital.

The document provides the guideline treatment and the standard of care for the Nigerian Population. Taking also into consideration different approaches from the health sector.

This document serves as a set of guidelines aimed at ensuring the provision of quality, accessible and equitable health care services across the country by defining the minimum requirements for service delivery, health facilities and workforce.

This decree, taken in application of the provisions of Ordinance No. 01/95 of January 14, 1995, on the orientation of health policy in the Gabonese Republic and Ordinance No. 10/2011 of August 11, 2011, on the organization of the pharmaceutical sector in the Gabonese Republic, sets the conditions for opening and operating a private health structure in the Gabonese Republic. This decree is located on page 6 of the file.

This decree, taken in application of the provisions of Ordinance No. 01/95 of January 14, 1995, on the orientation of health policy in the Gabonese Republic, of Law No. 4/63 of January 11, 1963, relating to the practice of private medicine in the Gabonese Republic, of Decree No. 213/PR-MSPP-CAB of July 8, 1966 on the regulation of the practice of the professions of doctor, dental surgeon and midwife in the Gabonese Republic, sets the conditions for issuing authorizations relating to the practice of medical and paramedical professions in the Gabonese Republic. This order, taken in application of the provisions of Decree No. 213/PR-MSPP-CAB of July 8, 1966 on the regulation of the practice of the professions of doctor, dental surgeon and midwife in the Gabonese Republic and Orders No. 0106/MSPS and 0107/MSPS of March 16, 2015, determines the amounts and terms of payment of fees relating to the issue of authorization to practice medicine, to open and operate a private health structure in the Gabonese Republic. This decree, taken in application of the provisions of Law No. 020/2005 of January 3, 2006, establishes the creation and attributions of the Monitoring/Evaluation Committee for the issuance and implementation of authorizations for the exercise, opening and operation of private health structures in the Gabonese Republic. This Act provides a framework for a structured uniform health system within Namibia; consolidates the laws relating to state hospitals and state health services, and regulates the conduct of state hospitals and state health services; provides for financial assistance for special medical treatment of State patients; and provides for incidental matters.

The Sierra Leone Basic Package of Essential Health Services provides a framework and guiding document for improving health service delivery in Sierra Leone. It represents a commitment from the Government of Sierra Leone to ensure that a basic level of essential health care service delivery is available to its people.

The Decree approves the Organic Statute of the Américo Boavida Hospital.

This decree establishes the Steering Committee for the implementation of the Universal Health Insurance Scheme and contains provisions concerning its composition as well as its departmental and regional structures.

The Botswana National Health Quality Standards for Clinics provide guidance on the topic of management and leadership in the governance of the health facility focusing on such areas as responsibilities and accountability of governing bodies; applicable laws and regulations; budgeting, reporting and auditing processes; planning of health services that correspond to the patient and population needs, etc.

The National Health Quality Standards for Hospitals provide guidelines for hospitals regarding coordination of patient care, facilities and equipment, clinical practice guidelines, assessment of patients, patient care, medication, etc.

This Regulation sets up rules on to the transportation of urgent and emergency patients, and to the transportation of non-urgent patients by land.

This decree was adopted to implement the Law 2014-131 (universal health insurance) to establish the Social Security Institution ("institution de Prévoyance sociale").
