The Ghana Health Service and Teaching Hospitals Act of 1996 establishes the Ghana Health Service, provides for related matters including its functions and membership; provides for the administration and management of institutions in the Health Service including state-owned hospitals and health stations; continues the existence and operation of Teaching Hospitals and provides for matters related to the foregoing.

The Decree establishes the Code of Medical Ethics. The Code is applicable to any Doctors registered with the Medical Register, any performing a professional act, as well as to students performing a replacement or assisting a physician in the case provided for in article 84 of Code.

Environment Management Act

This Act makes provision for the protection and management of the environment and the conservation and sustainable utilization of natural resources and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto.

The Nurses and Midwives Rules

These rules establish a framework for the practice of nursing and midwifery in Uganda, outlining the qualifications, licensing, professional conduct, and disciplinary procedures for nurses and midwives.

The Code for Public Health and Social Action for People's well -being ("code de la santé publique et de l'action sociale pour le bien être de la population) provides the legal rules applicables to health activities and structures tasked to ensure health protection and promotion. It is important to note that there are reports of a new public health code under development, the latest version that could be retrieved online is however the one provided here (from 1995).

Loi n° 23 94/ADP portant Code de la Santé publique

The Code provides rules on the protection and promotion of health in Burkina Faso. The Code is developed around five axes:  a section on general principles of the health system in Burkina Faso as well as health care and service coverage; a section on general protection and promotion of public health, which includes general and specific sanitary measures; a section on health professions and their legal status and a section on rules for pharmaceutical products, other products and traditional pharmacopoeia.  The last part includes the Final Provisions.

Pharmacy Act, 1994 (Act 489)

The Pharmacy Act, 1994 is to revise the laws relating to pharmacy, to establish a Pharmacy Council, for the registration of pharmacies, the regulation and control of the practice of pharmacy, the distribution of pharmacies, the licensing of premises for pharmacies and to provide for related matters. This Act was repealed by the Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act, 2013 (Act 857), section 114.

The Medical Practitioners and Dental Surgeons Decree

This Decree establishes the Medical and Dental Council, provides for the registration of medical practitioners and dental surgeons and for other related matters.

This law establishes the legal regime for foreign nationals, setting out, in particular, the rules governing their entry, stay and exit from the country, their rights, duties and guarantees. With the exception of visa requirements, this law does not apply to permanent diplomatic and consular agents and their families or to special missions.

The law establishes the bases of the health system in Angola.

This decree sets the modalities for registration on the register of the "Ordre National des Pharmaciens" (National Order of Pharmacists), the operation of the Order, the granting of authorizations to practice as a pharmacist in private practice.

This law provides for the National Order of Pharmacists and specifies its mandate and operating modes.

Disaster preparedness and relief Act

This Act makes provision for the co-ordination and implementation of measures to alleviate effects to disasters, the establishment of the office of Commissioner for Disaster Preparedness and Relief the establishment of a National Disaster Preparedness and Relief Committee of Malawi, and for matters incidental thereto or connected therewith.

The law regulates the state of situation of emergency in Angola. Defining the states of exception as exceptional situations that may suspend or limit the exercise of citizens' rights, freedoms and guarantees.
