These guidelines for the prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases provide direction for streamlining care across the entire health services provision continuum.

The Health Act

Basic Paediatric Protocols

This pocket book consists of guidelines on the classification of illness severity, criteria for admission, and inpatient management of the major causes of childhood mortality such as pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria, severe malnutrition, meningitis, HIV and neonatal conditions. The guidelines target the management of the seriously ill newborn or child in the first 24 - 48 hours of arrival at the hospital.

The Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act

This Act gives effect to Article 227 of the Constitution; provides procedures for efficient public procurement and for assets disposal by public entities; and for connected purposes.

The Physiotherapists Act

This Act facilitates the promotion, co-ordination and regulation of the progress of science, technology and innovation of the country; assigns priority to the development of science, technology and innovation; entrenches science, technology and innovation into the national production system.

The Kenya Medical Supplies Authority Act

This Act makes provisions for the establishment of the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority and for connected purposes.

This Order determines the list of serious or disabling illnesses for which the insured person is entitled to total or partial exemption from payment of the portion of the costs remaining his responsibility, as well as the conditions under which the exemption is granted.

Medical Practitioners and Dentists Act

This Act consolidates and amends the law to make provision for the registration of medical practitioners and dentists and for purposes connected therewith and incidental thereto.

The Revised Guidelines (4th edition) for Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) of HIV and AIDS provide more detailed and effective interventions to reduce the risk of mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) than previous editions. They emphasize the early initiation of ARV prophylaxis starting at 14 weeks, highlighting the importance of early antenatal care (ANC) attendance for all women.

This Decree defines the attributions, the organization and the functioning of the Public Hygiene Police of Mauritania.
