The law created the Order of Midwives (the Order of Midwives), which is responsible for organizing and representing individuals and legal entities practicing the profession of midwifery in Mali.

The law creates the Ordre des Pharmaciens (The Order of Pharmacists), which is responsible for organizing and representing individuals and legal entities practicing the pharmaceutical professions in Mali.

The law creates the Ordre des Chirurgiens-dentistes (The Order of Dental Surgeons), which is responsible for organizing and representing individuals and legal entities practicing the profession of dental surgeon in Mali.

The decree sets out the organization and operating procedures for hospital pharmacies.

Constitution

The Constitution includes 246 articles addressing among other, the State and Sovereignty, Fundamental Rights and Freedoms, institutions in place (e.g., executive power, legislative power, and judicial power ) as well as established councils such as the Economic, social and environmental council, the superior council of the freedom of communication or the national consultative councils (non-exhaustive list).

This law establishes the universal health insurance scheme which covers for the insured and their dependents the access to health services in the public and private sector (except for accidents at work and occupational illnesses). It was later amended by Law n°12-2023.

This law establishes a social security system aiming at protecting the workers and their family, as well as other categories of the population against the risks and hazards inherent in work and life. This law was later amended by Law n°14-2023.

The law provides rights and protective measures for indigenous populations.

The law institutes the Compulsory Health Insurance scheme in Mali. Its purpose is to cover the health care costs inherent in sickness and maternity for insured persons and their dependent family members. Code de déontologie médicale

The Law creates a Code of Ethics for physicians and dental surgeons in Mali. The Code is applicable to all physicians and dental surgeons registered with the “Ordre National des Médecins” (National Order of Physicians). The Code sets out, among other things, the requirements and duties associated with the practice of the profession.

This law authorizes the private practice of health professions by individuals or legal entities, either individually or as a group, in Mali. It sets out the conditions required, as well as duties and obligations.
