Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority Act

This Act establishes the Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority; provides for the functions and powers of the Authority; and provides for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto.

Loi No 2018-027 relative à l’état civil

The purpose of this law is to provide for the rules relating to the civil status of citizens, civil status documents, as well as procedures for registering civil status events and their computerized management. It guarantees every person the enjoyment of the right to recognition in all places of their legal personality.

HIV and AIDS (Prevention and Management) Act

This Act makes provision for the prevention and management of HIV and AIDS; provides for the rights and obligations of persons living with HIV or affected by HIV and AIDS; provides for the establishment of the National AIDS Commission; and provides for matters incidental thereto or connected therewith.

Gender Equality Act

This Act promotes gender equality, equal integration, influence, empowerment, dignity and opportunities, for men and women in all functions of society, prohibits and provides redress for sex discrimination, harmful practices and sexual harassment, provides for public awareness on the promotion of gender equality, and provides for connected matters.

Public Private Partnership Act

This Act provides for partnerships between the public sector and private sector for the supply of infrastructure and delivery of services as means of contributing towards sustaining economic growth, social development and infrastructure development; provides for the development and implementation of public-private partnership arrangements in Malawi for the delivery of infrastructure and services; provides for the establishment of the Public Private Partnership Commission; provides for private sector participation in state-owned enterprises, commercial entities and commercial assets, and provides for matters connected with or incidental to the foregoing.

Loi No 2011-002 portant Code de la Santé

The Law establishes the Health Code that codifies legislative texts concerning Public Health in Madagascar.

Loi No 2011-003 portant réforme hospitalière

The Law establishes provisions relating to the hospital reform and applies to all hospital establishments in Madagascar.

Constitution

The Constitution of Madagascar was adopted in 2010. It consists of 168 Articles that are grouped into seven titles. The purpose of this law is to combat the spread of the disease caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) leading to the reduction and loss of the body's immune defenses, resulting in Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS); to protect people living with HIV/AIDS against all forms of discrimination or stigmatization; and to reaffirm their fundamental rights and freedoms in accordance with international human rights instruments.

The purpose of this Law is to create a legal framework that allows for the implementation of the actions and mechanisms necessary for the education, prevention, treatment, epidemiological surveillance, research, care and monitoring of sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS, as well as to guarantee respect, protection and defence of human rights, and to eliminate the stigmatization and discrimination of people infected with HIV/AIDS. Consumer Protection Act

This Act protects the rights of consumers, addresses the interests and needs of consumers, establishes a Consumer Protection Council, provides an effective redress mechanism for consumer claims and provides for other matters incidental thereto or connected therewith.

Ley No 3/2003 de Medicamentos

The scope of application of this Law includes: medicines and health products, as well as the actions of natural and legal persons involved in the production, marketing, prescription and dispensing of pharmaceutical and health products within the national territory.
