Health Legislation

This Act establishes the Medical Council of Mauritius which is responsible for the regulation and oversight of the medical profession in Mauritius, including the registration, licensing, and professional conduct of medical practitioners.

This Act regulates the practice of the profession of dental surgeon and dental specialist, and establishes the Dental Council of Mauritius.

This Act consolidates the law relating to the medical and dental practice and provides for other connected purposes.

This Act governs the taxation of individuals, companies and other entities in Mauritius and outlines rules for income tax, tax rates, deductions, exemptions and the administration of tax collection, etc.

These rules establish a framework for the practice of nursing and midwifery in Uganda, outlining the qualifications, licensing, professional conduct, and disciplinary procedures for nurses and midwives.

The Constitution of Uganda was adopted in 1995. The Constitution of Uganda is a supreme law of the state that establishes the key values and principles of the organization of the state, establishes rights, freedoms and obligations, separates the powers within the state and establishes the key state bodies. This Act establishes a national drug policy and a national drug authority to ensure the availability, at all times, of essential, efficacious and cost-effective drugs to the entire population of Uganda, as a means of providing satisfactory health care and safeguarding the appropriate use of drugs.
