Health Legislation

This Order provides for the creation, organization and operation of the program called the National Health Education Programme.

The Essential Medicines and Health Supplies List for Uganda (EMHSLU) 2023 reflects the policy of the Ministry of Health, for the appropriate procurement of safe and efficacious essential medicines, health and laboratory supplies in public institutions.

These guidelines prescribe data, which is required to be submitted to the National Drug Authority to demonstrate the safety, efficacy and quality of vaccines being applied for market authorization. The guidelines also describe the format (CTD) in which dossiers should be presented in support of the application.

This Act protects the privacy of the individual and of personal data by regulating the collection and processing of personal information; provides for the rights of the persons whose data is collected and the obligations of data collectors, data processors and data controllers; regulates the use or disclosure of personal information; and provides for related matters.

This Decree provides for the conditions relating to the standards, skills, and ethics in matters of prescription and provision of services in reproductive health, as well as to the sale and administration of contraceptive products and authorized methods of contraception.

The Curriculum for the Diploma in Pharmacy are the guidelines for the training and qualification in pharmacy.

This Order establishes the National Program for the Fight against STIs/HIV/AIDS (PNLS) created within the Directorate for the Fight against Diseases at the Ministry of Health.

This Law contributes to the protection of the present and future generations from the devastating health, social and health effects of diseases affecting public health and in particular reproductive health in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. This Act repeals and replaces the National Pharmaceutical Procurement Unit Act, 2012 to establish the National Medical Supplies Agency as a public service agency responsible for the procurement, warehousing and distribution of drugs and medical supplies in a transparent and cost-effective manner for and on behalf of all public institutions throughout Sierra Leone.

This Act provides for the amendment and consolidation of the laws relating to the compulsory registration of citizens and non-citizens resident in Sierra Leone, provides for the issuance of identity cards, provides for the establishment of the National Civil Registration Authority responsible for the registration of births adoptions, deaths, marriages, divorces and nullities throughout Sierra Leone and provides for other related matters.

This document serves as a set of guidelines aimed at ensuring the provision of quality, accessible and equitable health care services across the country by defining the minimum requirements for service delivery, health facilities and workforce.
