The National Health Act
This Act provides a framework for the regulation, development and management of a national health system and sets standards for rendering health services in Nigeria, as well as related matters.
The law sets the rules applicable to legal aid and judicial assistance and creates the National Agency for Legal Aid and Judicial Assistance, which is responsible for implementing the provisions relating to legal aid and judicial assistance.
The law creates a public administrative establishment, with legal personality and financial autonomy, called the Centre national de lutte contre le cancer (National Cancer Center).
This Act provides for the establishment of a national identity database and the National Identity Management Commission charge with the responsibilities for maintenance of the national database, the registration of individuals, and the issuance of general multipurpose identity cards; and for related matters.

The law creates a social public establishment called the “Caisse nationale de sécurité sociale” (National Social Security Fund). The ordinance regulates the classification of medicines, the registration of medicines, the dispensing of medicines, dietary products, cosmetics, the rules for practicing the profession of pharmacist, the dispensing of medicines by doctors and other aspects.
