Health Legislation

The Constitution was reviewed and adopted in 2019. The Constitution contains 159 articles addressing a large number of issues such as the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms, the fundamental principles of the state and institutional arrangements (non-exhaustive list).

The Constitution of Benin was adopted in 1990 and promulgated by Law No 90-32. The Constitution consists of 160 articles and covers a wide array of areas ranging from state principles, values, rights and obligations of the people, division of powers within the state, etc.
