The Public Health Act

This Act repeals and replaces the Public Health Act of 1960, provides for the promotion, protection and improvement of public health and well-being in Sierra Leone, provides for the protection of individuals and communities from public health risks, provides for the prevention and control of the spread of infectious diseases, provides for local government and community participation in protecting public health, provides for early detection and prompt response to diseases and public health threats and provides for other related matters.

The Consumer Protection Act

This Act provides for the protection and promotion of the interests of consumers; provides for the establishment of the National Consumer Protection Commission and for other related matters.

The National Medical Supplies Agency Act

This Act repeals and replaces the National Pharmaceutical Procurement Unit Act, 2012 to establish the National Medical Supplies Agency as a public service agency responsible for the procurement, warehousing and distribution of drugs and medical supplies in a transparent and cost-effective manner for and on behalf of all public institutions throughout Sierra Leone.

Namibia Essential Medicines List

The Namibia Essential Medicines List acts as a guide for the level of availability and use of essential medicines based on the skills levels of health workers as well as the availability of diagnostic facilities at the various levels of the Namibian public sector healthcare system.

This Law establishes a framework to guarantee and protect the personal data of individuals.

The National Civil Registration Act

This Act provides for the amendment and consolidation of the laws relating to the compulsory registration of citizens and non-citizens resident in Sierra Leone, provides for the issuance of identity cards, provides for the establishment of the National Civil Registration Authority responsible for the registration of births adoptions, deaths, marriages, divorces and nullities throughout Sierra Leone and provides for other related matters.

National Health Act

This Act provides a framework for a structured uniform health system within Namibia; consolidates the laws relating to state hospitals and state health services, and regulates the conduct of state hospitals and state health services; provides for financial assistance for special medical treatment of State patients; and provides for incidental matters.

This law makes the second amendment to the Statute of the Order of Nurses, approved by Decree-Law No. 104/98, of April 21, amended by Law No. 111/2009, of September 16, in order to adapt it to Law No. 2/2013, of January 10, which establishes the legal regime for the creation, organization and operation of professional public associations.

The Sierra Leone Basic Package of Essential Health Services provides a framework and guiding document for improving health service delivery in Sierra Leone. It represents a commitment from the Government of Sierra Leone to ensure that a basic level of essential health care service delivery is available to its people.

Carta Sanitaria de Sao Tome e Principe 2012

This document provides a Sanitary Map of Sao Tome and Principe with the aim of achieving an efficient and equitable supply of health care.

This decree creates and adopts a strategic plan for the permanent registration of children in maternity wards in Hospitals and Health Centers and in Civil Registry Offices.

This Act amends the Medical Practitioners and Dental Surgeons Act, 1994.

This Act amends the Medicines and Related Substances Control Act, 2003, so as to amend and delete certain definitions; provides for a period within which the Council must be appointed; provides for the appointment of chairpersons of committees established by the Council; amends provisions relating to the classification of medicines and other substances as scheduled substances; amends provisions relating to the manufacturing, packing and selling of specified Schedule 3 and specified Schedule 4 substances; deletes references to generic substitutions; substitutes references to Schedule 1, Schedule 2, Schedule 3 or Schedule 4 medicines by references to Schedule 1, Schedule 2, Schedule 3 or Schedule 4 substances; inserts provisions relating to the registration of premises engaged in the manufacturing of medicines; amends provisions relating to offences and penalties; amends provisions relating to the destruction of forfeited medicines, scheduled substances or other things; provides for the making of regulations in relation to medicines; amends provisions relating to the exclusion of medicines from the operation of the Act; amends the transitional provisions; amends provisions relating to the repeal and amendment of certain laws; and provides for matters incidental thereto.

The Pharmacy and Drugs (Amendment) Act

This Act amends section 38 of the Pharmacy and Drugs Act of 2001.

Medical and Dental Act

This Act provides for the establishment and constitution of a professional Council for the medical and dental professions; determines the powers, duties and functions of such Council; regulates the registration of medical practitioners and of dentists, and of persons practising certain professions allied to the medical profession or to the dental profession; specifies the education, training and qualifications of persons practising such professions; prohibits the practising of any such profession without being registered; and provides for matters incidental thereto.

Nursing Act

This Act provides for the establishment and constitution of a professional Council for the nursing and midwifery or accoucheury professions; determines the powers, duties and functions of such Council; regulates the registration and enrolment of the members of such professions; specifies the education, training and qualifications of persons practising such professions; prohibits the practising of any such profession without being registered; and provides for matters incidental thereto.

Pharmacy Act

This Act provides for the establishment and constitution of a professional Council for the pharmacy profession; determines the powers, duties and functions of such Council; regulates the registration of pharmacists and persons practising professions allied to the pharmacy profession; specifies the education and training and qualifications of persons practising such professions; prohibits the practising of any such profession without being registered; and provides for matters incidental thereto.

Decreto-Lei No 2/2004 Aprova o Estatuto das carreiras Medicas

This Decree-Law approves the Statute of Medical Careers in Sao Tome and Principe.
