The law authorized the extension of the state of health emergency in 2021.
This Act lays down the fundamental provisions and principles and aims to give concrete form to the rights and duties of the population in matters of health. Its purpose is to ensure the prevention, protection, maintenance, restoration and promotion of people's health. It was published in the Official Journal on 29 July 2018.
The law creates a public administrative establishment, called the "Agence Nationale de Sécurité Sanitaire", under the supervision of the Ministry of Health. The mission of the Agence is to implement the strategic orientations of the Ministry of Health in the field of health safety.
This order sets the schedule for mandatory vaccination against some communicable diseases.
Code de la Santé Publique
The Code provides rules regarding different rears of public health as the prevention and control of communicable diseases; sanitation and housing; and food and water protection among other aspects.
The Decree, published in the Official Journal of 20 June 1969 provides that some vaccinations may be made compulsory in case of (threat of) epidemic (pages 14-15).
