The law authorized the extension of the state of health emergency in 2021.

The objective of the law is to provide the general orientation, the principles and fundamental objectives of the State for Health. It considers the international commitments to which the country adhered to.
This decree establishes a Center of Public Health Emergency Operation (Centre des Opérations d'Urgence de Santé Publique - COUSP) (article 2), sets its attributions (article 4), and its organizational modalities (chapter III).
The law creates a public administrative establishment, called the "Agence Nationale de Sécurité Sanitaire", under the supervision of the Ministry of Health. The mission of the Agence is to implement the strategic orientations of the Ministry of Health in the field of health safety.
Code de la Santé Publique
The Code provides rules regarding different rears of public health as the prevention and control of communicable diseases; sanitation and housing; and food and water protection among other aspects.
